Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles.
• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Utilise accounting software such as Xero to streamline financial operations.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical insights for financial management.
• Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in accounting and finance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Experience

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role, demonstrating strong knowledge of financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Xero is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with financial services and management practices is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial information clearly.
